Who we are

Chipta (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website chipta.ai. This policy explains what information we collect through the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@chipta.ai.

Chipta is an early-stage company; the formal operating entity and its registered details will be added here once finalized.

Information we collect

When you submit a form on this site (for example, to join research updates or to contact us), we collect the email address you provide and any message you include. Alongside each submission we store basic technical metadata — an approximate country derived from your network, your browser’s user-agent string, and a timestamp.

Our hosting provider may also process standard server and security logs (such as IP address and request information) to operate and protect the site. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not intentionally collect special-category or sensitive personal data.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to you, send the research or product updates you have requested, evaluate potential collaboration or partnership, and operate and secure the site. We do not use it for unrelated advertising.

Legal bases for processing

Where data-protection law (such as the EU/UK GDPR) applies, we rely on: your consent (for example, when you opt in to updates — you can withdraw it at any time); our legitimate interests in responding to your enquiry, evaluating partnerships, and keeping the site secure; and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.

Data retention

We keep your submission for as long as needed to follow up with you and operate the site, and we remove it when it is no longer needed or when you ask us to delete it.

Where your information is stored & international transfers

Submissions and logs are processed using Cloudflare infrastructure, which operates globally. This means your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with service providers who help us operate the site (such as our hosting and email providers), and we may disclose it where required by law or to protect our rights and the security of the site.

Cookies and analytics

This site aims to be privacy-preserving and does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any analytics we use are intended to be aggregate and non-identifying.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to restrict or object to certain processing or withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email privacy@chipta.ai. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
